September Classes

Thank you for the excitement and interest so many of you have shown since I announced the regular classes I will be teaching from September onwards at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Just to give you a heads up, I will be releasing some of the booking forms later today, and the rest in due course. It will be a flexible week by week booking system, first come first serve, and will have the term timetable available there if you did want to book in advance.

Commercial Street Dance - ISTD - Sunday

On Sundays there will be Commercial Street Dance Classes for children ages 3yrs to 14yrs. I’m particularly excited to be able to offer a chance for the dancers to take their ISTD Street Dance exams along the way, something I have felt this genre of dance has needed for a while now.

Tap

Another passion of mine is Tap, I have always loved to tap, and am a fully qualified ISTD tap teacher. Even though the opportunity to perform Tap doesn’t come up often when you work in the commercial dance world, I was always sure to keep it up by going along to class in between jobs, mainly at Pineapple with the likes of Junior Laniyan who did rhythmic commercial tap, and Derek Hartley who is a legendary old school tap teacher - a great mix of styles and I loved every minute of each class! I am wanting to bring a mix of both to my tap classes - technique to a bit of Bruno Mars!

And lastly, Commercial dance classes for adults. I have had so many people asking if I was going to offer this, and it was an easy yes! A warm up followed by a routine to a banging tune will be like partying on a weeknight! Great for the mind, body and soul.
